BAKERSFIELD, Calif. —Beverage maker Califia Farms has introduced a new line of shelf-stable Nitro Draft Lattes With Oatmilk.
The 7-ounce cans are available in Black & White, XX Espresso, Salted Caramel and Mocha flavors. The nitrogen froths the creamy oat milk for a rich brew, according to Califia Farms. The drinks are non-GMO, kosher and vegan and are free of nuts, allergens, soy, gluten, carrageenan, BPA, dairy and preservatives.
The lattes are available for $2.99 per can on the Califia Farms website, Amazon and in some U.S. markets. A broader rollout, including convenience and grocery stores, will continue through the end of the year. While best served cold, the drinks do not need to be refrigerated.
All Califia Farms coffee products, which include coffees made with almond milk and coconut cream, are made with 100% premium Arabica beans sourced via direct trade from partners in South and Central America and East Africa, according to the company. The beans are then roasted in the Califia Coffee Co. lab in Los Angeles.
"Direct trade means that we pay as much attention to the quality of the beans as to the socioeconomic impact when sourcing them. It not only results in richer, better-tasting coffee, but also in strong supplier partnerships that benefit everyone," said Brian Lovejoy, general manager of coffee for Califia Farms. "We combine these premium beans with our new oat milk, a delicious partner for coffee, which froths beautifully. The product is made even creamier with the nitrogen widget technology, resulting in a unique cold-brew experience that keeps you 'feel good' energized all day."
Bakersfield, Calif.-based Califia Farms operates as a natural beverage company. Its product portfolio includes almond and oat milks, coffee creamer, cold-brew coffee, Mexican juices, citrus juices and seasonal drinks.
