Handy Pantry Has Shocking Customer Appreciation Day

Hyper-caffeinated brew makes the scene

LONG ISLAND, N.Y. Hyper-caffeinated coffee brand Shock Coffee had a strong presence at Handy Pantry's Customer Appreciation Day Festival held on July 1, 2006 in Long Island, N.Y., the java maker said.

The convenience store's customers enjoyed the day's events, which included face painting, pony rides, video games and a giant inflatable slide. In addition, Shock Coffee's signature Hummer vehicle was on site offering free samples of the company's product line: hot brewed coffee, ready-to-drink chilled coffee beveragesShock Triple Latte and Shock Triple [image-nocss] Mochaand chocolate-covered coffee bean candyShock-a-Lots.

The hyper-caffeinated coffee, with the catchphrase Sleep Is Overrated, is currently distributed in more than 30 states. It was recently picked up by Eastern Coffee Distributors, which deliver to the Nesconset, N.Y.-based Handy Pantry chain of 11 c-stores.
