NEW YORK -- Heineken USA's Strongbow Hard Apple Ciders will add a new flavor this spring. Strongbow Cherry Blossom will join the portfolio of flavors in April.

Flavors are at the forefront of the cider category, one of the hottest categories in beverage alcohol, according to the company. Strongbow's Cherry Blossom Hard Apple Cider delivers a cut-through taste with cherry blossom aroma, subtle sweetness and a ripe-apple finish.

Cherry Blossom will be available in six-packs in April and will replace Red Berries in the Strongbow variety pack in June.

The Strongbow flavor lineup includes Gold Apple, Honey, Red Berries and Ginger.

New York-based Heineken USA brought Strongbow cider to the United States in 2013. The U.K. import has been part of the larger Heineken N.V. stable for years.
