The Best Way to Come Out in the Black in Las Vegas

NATO Show increases income for attendees

MINNEAPOLIS -- Attendance for the annual NATO Trade Show drives opportunity for increased revenue for tobacco retailers and wholesaler attendees. Past attendees have reported earning over $10,000 additional income just in vendor show deals.

The 11th Anniversary NATO Trade Show will be held April 24-26, 2012, at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel.

“Income realized from attending last year’s NATO Trade Show more than paid for our attendance fees,” said Mark Davenport, president of J.T. Davenport and Sons Inc. “With the orders placed at the 2011 show, we earned over $11,500 in show-deal income. I highly recommend attending this exceptional, tobacco-exclusive show to anyone operating in this industry.”

Steve Sandman, NATO’s Trade Show Committee chairman, said that most exhibitors offer show deals. “Over 70% of the exhibitors at last year’s show offered some type of show deal. It is easy for a tobacco retailer to cover the cost of their trip and more with some targeted buying at the NATO Show. Also, with exhibit sales tracking 25% above last year, more exhibitors means more deals, which means more profit for retailers and wholesalers,” Sandman said.

In addition to the trade show, the meeting features a host of educational sessions focusing on everything that tobacco retailers need not only to survive, but to thrive in a difficult sales and regulatory environment. Proceeds from the show go to support NATO’s legislative efforts to help the industry.
