PHOENIX — One of Sky Wellness’s D Oh Gee pet cannabidiol (CBD) products was awarded CBD Pet Product of the Year 2022, a consumer-voted award for product innovation from Kantar.
The company is also seeing growth of its products—including D Oh Gee CBD Daily Turkey Chewies, Duck Bites and Dog Oil Drops Bacon Flavor—at retailers like convenience store Circle K, as well as Tractor Supply Co., Handshake and Wagtopia. By the end of 2022, Phoenix-based Sky Wellness's CBD brands will be available in more than 10,000 c-store, grocery, drug and specialty retailers across the United States and online, the company said.
“Over the last three years, pet owners have become smart about CBD, its positive impacts on their health and how it may also help their pets,” said Brook Bacon, vice president of marketing and general manager of animal products at Sky Wellness. “With D Oh Gee CBD, our foundations are in the pet industry and in providing effective products with the same standards pet owners are used to, along with being conveniently and readily available from trusted retailers. CBD will continue to be a portfolio requirement because of consumer awareness and their demand for wellness for the entire family, including those with four legs.”
Since the brand’s relaunch in January, Sky Wellness’s CBD pet collection has seen growth and pickup with retailers, the company said. It has also been recognized for several awards.
London-based data company Kantar named CBD Daily Turkey Chewies for dogs Product of the Year 2022, determined by 40,000 American shoppers through a national survey. The bites have 10 milligrams of CBD each, are made from turkey and cranberries and are free from corn, soy and wheat. They are formulated to supplement care for joint health and supportive care during environmental stress.
CBD Duck Bites is a finalist in the upcoming 2022 World CBD Awards, which highlights CBD and hemp products that have been deemed safe, compliant and effective.
D Oh Gee is USA-grown and manufactured hemp wellness products for pets. All are tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)-free, and third-party lab tested for purity and potency. The brand offers guides on the packaging that contains dosage information based on the animal’s weight.
