ExxonMobil’s Humphreys Announces Retirement

SVP and principal financial officer exits after 36 years

IRVING, Texas -- Donald D. Humphreys, 64, senior vice president and principal financial officer of Exxon Mobil Corp., has announced his intention to retire on Feb. 1, 2013, after more than 36 years of service.

Humphreys has been a member of the corporation's management committee since January 2006. In addition to his financial management role, he has also been responsible for ExxonMobil's fuels, lubricants and specialties marketing and global services operations.

Humphreys joined Exxon Chemical Co. in August 1976 and had several assignments in Houston, Baton Rouge and Baytown before becoming senior financial advisor at Exxon Corp. in New York.

Humphreys held positions with Exxon Co. International and was upstream controller of Exxon Co. USA. He was financial director of Exxon companies in Malaysia and was assistant treasurer of Exxon Corp., where he later was elected vice president and controller. At the time of the Exxon and Mobil merger in 1999, Humphreys was named vice president and controller of Exxon Mobil Corp. and later elected vice president and treasurer of Exxon Mobil Corp.

Humphreys is a director on the boards of Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation and Junior Achievement Worldwide. He is a member of Financial Executives International and the American Petroleum Institute and served as a member of the Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council.
