HOUSTON -- FuelQuest Inc. said that its founding partners Richard Cilento, CEO, and Douglas Haugh, COO, received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award in the Energy Technology category for the Houston and Gulf Coast region.

Six years ago, Cilento and Haugh founded FuelQuest in Houston, with a simple and straightforward vision: to be the industry-standard solution and network for petroleum supply chain optimization and fuel tax automation technologies. Further, their goal for the company is providing a holistic view of the supply chain, which they said was nonexistent in the industry when the company began.
Clients of Houston-based FuelQuest's fuel management services and fuel tax capabilities include Sam's Club/Wal-Mart, Circle K, 7-Eleven, UPS, Chevron, ConocoPhillips, Shell and others.

Cilento and Haugh are now eligible for the National Entrepreneur Awards, held in Palm Springs in November 2006.
