Retailerto openfirst new c-store to reflect new branding

WHITEHOUSE STATION, N.J. -- Quick Chek, a privately owned, family-operated chain of more than 100 convenience food store locations throughout New Jersey and Southern New York, has announced the grand opening of its newest location, in Lake Katrine, N.Y. This new location will serve as the prototype store that will fully incorporate Quick Chek's new brand.

In mid-April, Quick Chek launched a new brand positioning complete with logo, private-label product packaging and enhanced website. (Click here for CSP Daily News coverage of the new initiative.)

The new, 7,260-square-foot Lake Katrine store will open to the public Wednesday, May 28, following a celebratory Quick Chek Coffee Toast ceremony Tuesday, May 27, when local officials and community members will gather with Quick Chek representatives to grind, brew and pour the very first cup of Quick Chek's coffee at the new location.

Quick Chek's coffee, which comes with a 20-minute freshness guarantee and is made from a select blend of beans, is also the official coffee of the New Jersey Devils hockey team.

Managed by Store Leader Lynn Rhinesmith, Quick Chek's new Lake Katrine location will include a coffee bar, sub shop, soup bar, bakery items made fresh everyday, a no-fee ATM center, 20 fueling stations and a car wash.

Meanwhile, during its first 30 days of operation, from May 28 to June 24, Quick Chek said that it will thank the local community for its warm welcome to Lake Katrine by donating 25 cents for every sub, sandwich and wrap sold to Ulster Hose Co. No. 5.

Operating more than 100 retail locations in New Jersey and southern New York, Whitehouse Station, N.Y.-based Quick Chek's sites include 12 pharmacy stores and 14 locations with fuel.
