QuikTrip Corp. has purchased a Bell 429 helicopter, the convenience-store retailer’s second.
The retailer plans to use the Bell 429s to support its expanding retail network and to transport executives to its stores to attend to business needs while reducing travel times, according to Bell Textron Inc., a Textron Inc. company. The chain’s approximately three-dozen remote travel centers are often the first in a new state.
“QuikTrip is excited to add the comfort, reliability and overall performance of another Bell to our fleet, and we are looking forward our continued strong and long-lasting relationship with the Bell team,” said Stuart Sullivan, vice president and chief financial officer for QuikTrip.
The Bell 429 cabin offers seating for six people with abundant leg room. It features BasixPro avionics and satellite-based guidance systems on intuitive displays.
