Acquires 15 sites; operator joins acquiring company
ROCKFORD, Ill. -- Road Ranger LLC has entered into operating lease agreements with Jack Helmick for 15 Fast Break Food Mart gasoline and convenience stores located in the Louisville, Ky., retail market. In addition, the owner and prior operator of the Fast Break sites, Jack Helmick, has taken the position of senior vice president of operations and marketing for Road Ranger.

The new Fast Break sites will continue to sell Shell branded gasoline products.

As reported in a CSP Daily News Flash yesterday, this transaction brings Road Ranger's total network of [image-nocss] truckstops, travel centers and gasoline convenience stores to 88 locations in seven states throughout the Midwest with a total of 25 locations in the state of Kentucky.

"Mr. Helmick is one of the best talents in the convenience store business, and I am pleased to have him join our management team", said Dan Arnold, president of Rockford, Ill.-based Road Ranger.
