Sheetz Launches New Companywide Hiring Initiative

Retailer plans to fill 3,000 store, support and corporate positions in 6 states

ALTOONA, Pa. — Sheetz Inc., which operate more than 600 convenience stores in six states, plans to hire more than 3,000 employees companywide in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina and Ohio, the Altoona, Pa.-based chain said.

In May 2016, on the heels of investing more than $15 million to increase employee wages, Sheetz said it would hire more than 8,000 employees companywide.In March 2019, Sheetz announced plans to hire 2,500 employees chainwide for full-time and part-time positions in its stores.

This latest hiring initiative aims to increase the company’s total employee count across its footprint with full-time positions at store locations as well as in the food operations, distribution services, construction and maintenance and corporate departments.

We are grateful for the dedication of our employees who have continued to provide superior customer service during these challenging times. In addition, we also want to provide employment opportunities for those who have lost their jobs during the COVID-19 health crisis.”
