TA Opens Livingston, Calif., Location

10th Golden State location

WESTLAKE, Ohio -- TravelCenters of America (TA) has opened a travel center in Livingston, Calif., located on Interstate 99 at Exit 203. It is the 10th location in California for the TA network.

The TA Livingston site offers a food court with seating for 86 patrons with additional outdoor seating that can accommodate 16. There are two quick-serve restaurant concepts customers can choose fromPopeyes Chicken & Biscuits and Burger King. TA Livingston will also introduce a company's first Seattle's Best Coffee.

In addition to the [image-nocss] food court, a 3,644-square-foot travel store offers a variety of beverages, snacks, travel products and electronics, as well as gifts and souvenirs. Inside the travel store is a TA Cafe Express. This grab-and-go food and beverage concept offers customers a variety of gourmet coffees, cappuccinos and hot chocolates. The hallmark of TA Cafe Express is TA Extremedubbed by drivers as the 500-mile coffeea highly caffeinated, dark-roast gourmet blend. It also features breakfast sandwiches, pastries and deli sandwiches.

Professional drivers will find that TA Livingston caters to their truck repair and maintenance needs with a five-bay truck service center that is open 24-hours, seven days a week, with ASE-certified technicians. Other conveniences at the site include seven diesel lanes, 110-space truck parking area, emergency road service through TA RoadSquad, a lounge area with game room, TripPak Scanning, Cat Scales, seven showers, WiFi and the RoadKing Club.

Our goal is to provide a state-of-the-art facility, said Gary Tooley, general manager of TA Livingston.

In other company news, TA recently announced a series of management changes designed to better align its management structure with the long-term goals of the company:

Thomas M. O'Brien, previously managing director, has been named managing director, president, CEO and member of the office of the chairman. John R. Hoadley, previously executive vice president and treasurer, has been named executive vice president, CFO and treasurer and member of the office of the chairman. Timothy L. Doane, previously president and CEO, has been named member of the office of the chairman. James W. George, previously executive vice president and CFO, has been named member of the office of the chairman.

Doane and Mr. George will remain employed with the company until Aug. 31, 2007. From Aug. 31, 2007, until Aug. 31, 2008, Doane and George will remain available to the company on an as-needed or project basis.

"Our new organizational structure aligns our management team with our business plans and with their individual talents, said O'Brien. It also affords Messrs. Doane and George the opportunity to help ensure a smooth transition of management for a company they were both instrumental in building over the last decade. I believe that our company will benefit tremendously from the continued contributions of both Tim and Jim in the coming months and from the remainder of our senior executive team, who have over 100 combined years of experience in the travel center industry."
