Thorntons Hiring for Busy Summer Season

Retailer looking to add 350 team members

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — In its latest round of hiring, Thorntons aims to add 350 team members companywide to ensure stores are staffed and ready in preparation for the busy summer selling season, the convenience-store retailer said.

To help meet the goal, Thorntons is offering a dedicated open interview day and time each week in every store for seasonal, part-time and full-time in-store positions. This is the company’s first time using this approach.

Every Wednesday through Aug. 25 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., the company is inviting interested candidates to stop into any Thorntons store for an on-the-spot interview. Applicants must be at least 20 years old. During this dedicated time, store leadership will be onsite to answer questions about the positions and to conduct interviews.

Available positions include guest service representative, clean team member, foodservice manager, store manager and general manager.

Benefits include:

  • Competitive salary.
  • Weekly pay and quarterly bonus incentives.
  • Free shift meals and dispensed beverages.
  • Health, dental and vision insurance coverage for employees who average 30 hours a week.
  • 401k with company match.
  • Store discounts.
  • Referral bonuses.

Louisville-based Thorntons operates more than 200 c-stores in six states: Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee and Florida. It ranks No. 38 in CSP’s 2020 Top 40 Update to the 2020 Top 202 ranking of the largest c-store chains in the United States.
