SHEBOYGAN FALLS, Wis. —Johnsonville is bringing three new sausage flavors to convenience stores: Ultimate Queso, Southern Style BBQ and Smoked Honey BBQ.

All three new sausages bring premium ingredients and quality to the convenience-store experience, according to the Sheboygan Falls, Wis.-based company.

“The new Ultimate Queso, Southern Style BBQ and Smoked Honey BBQ sausages are great roller-grill additions that can give consumers new meal options that are delicious and satisfying,” said Johnsonville Senior Product Marketing Manager Craig Yoder, “all with the same quality and craftsmanship they’ve come to expect from the Johnsonville name.”

The Ultimate Queso Sausage is filled with the Tex-Mex flavor, which has grown in popularity over the past four years by 20%, the company said. Meanwhile, featuring spices and a blend of creamy pepper jack and cheddar cheese, the Ultimate Queso Sausage has no MSG and is gluten free. And the Southern Style BBQ sausage is hardwood smoked with a bold tomato-based BBQ flavor, seasoned with a hint of cayenne and black pepper.

The Smoked Honey BBQ sausages feature a subtle honey flavor that’s balanced with the tangy heat of barbeque sauce and are free of MSG and gluten, according to Johnsonville, which reports that sweet BBQ flavor has grown in popularity by 30% over the past four years.
