MILFORD, Conn. -- With a goal of opening 2,800 new locations by the end of December, Subway has opened 362 new outlets, including 133 outside of the United States, during the months of February and March.
The sandwich chain has also hit a few additional milestones: 25,000 locations worldwide, 5,600 international locations, 900 in Australia, 800 in Michigan, 600 locations in the U.K., 400 in Minnesota, 300 in British Columbia, 300 in Oklahoma, 150 in New Zealand and 50 each in China, Scotland and Taiwan.
With minimal equipment [image-nocss] needs and space requirements that are extremely flexible, Subway now has more than 5,700 nontraditional locations in places such as airports, amusement parks, college campuses and grocery stores. And it now has 3,290 Subway restaurants in convenience stores, truckstops and travel centers around the world.
