Rutter's Expands Annual Summer Contest

Will award free gas to eight customers

YORK, Pa. -- Rutter's Farm Stores is expanding this year's Rutter's Rewards' summer gasoline giveaway. Eight customers will win free gasoline for one year during the "Fuel Up Free!" contest, which runs through August 29.

"We've had an overwhelmingly positive response to the introduction of our Rutter's Rewards loyalty card, with more than 150,000 customers now earning cents off gasoline," said Scott Hartman, president and CEO of Rutter's Farm Stores. "We're excited to increase the rewards for eight customers who won't have to pay for gas for one year."

During the [image-nocss] contest, Rutter's will also offer monthly food and beverage specials, the company said.
The retailer has made it easier to register for the contest. Each purchase of a featured item earns a customer one contest entry. The more featured items purchased, the more opportunities to win. Customers who swipe their Rutter's Rewards cards when they purchase the featured items automatically will be entered in the drawing. Customers who do not use a Rutter's Rewards card will receive an entry form that can be filled out and dropped in a designated box at any Rutter's store.

The participating contest sponsors are Coca-Cola, Davis Beverage, Edy's Grand Ice Cream, Glaceau, Jack and Jill Ice Cream, Kunzler & Co., Monster Beverages, Nestle Waters, Pepsi Cola, Pennsylvania Lottery, Red Bull, Rutter's Dairy and S&D Coffee.

Family-owned and third generation-managed, York, Pa.-based Rutter's operates 55 convenience stores in York, Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin and Lancaster counties in Pennsylvania.
