Meet the First Interactive Gasoline Pump: Miles

BP partners with GSTV on technology rollout

CHICAGO -- BP has launched its first-of-its-kind, interactive fuel pump—Miles—in Chicago today, setting a new standard for customer engagement during a fill-up, according to the company.

The refiner has partnered with The Onion “to help develop a unique personality for Miles that is both hilarious and uplifting.” Audio partner, Pandora, will allow users interacting with Miles to select the genre of music they prefer and bring forward a unique music listening experience at the pump and beyond.
