Through this agreement, Wayne will acquire all of Simmons’ products and technology solutions including the ClearView software, which provides real-time fuel monitoring and analytics for gas station owners; Simmons SIR, an established SIR that meets the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requirements for fuel reconciliation; an Underwriters Laboratory (UL) certified wet-stock measurement probe; and other hardware components that are used in the tank monitoring and FMS process.

“We are excited to reach this agreement with Simmons,” said Wayne CEO Neil Thomas. “Coupled with our recently announced Vianet Fuel Solutions acquisition, which also provides fuel management services, Simmons will help complete Wayne’s vision of providing a comprehensive fuel management solution to our customers around the world.”

Myra Canterbury, Simmons president, said, “We’re pleased to divest our products and services to a company with such a robust history of retail fuel innovation. We’re confident that the technologies developed by Simmons will fit well into Wayne’s portfolio and will have a very strong future.”

The companies anticipate that the acquisition will close in first-quarter 2016.

Richardson, Texas-based Simmons uses technology and customized solutions to solve challenges related to fuel loss, dispatching, consigned billing and compliance for fuel retailers and marketers.

Austin, Texas-based Wayne is one of the world’s largest suppliers of fuel dispensers, payment terminals, forecourt control devices, point-of-sale (POS) and other measurement and control solutions to the retail and commercial fueling industry.
