Tenn. retailer announces three promotions

BLOUNTVILLE, Tenn. -- Appalachian Oil Co. Inc. has announced three internal promotions.

Marty Anderson has been promoted to president of the Appco Convenience Centers division. Anderson is the former vice president of marketing and fills the shoes of Daniel Blackburn, who left the company this past spring.

Rick Jones has been promoted to director of operations at Appalachian Oil, and Mike Trent is now foodservice director, the company said.

With 57 convenience stores in three states, Blountville, Tenn.[image-nocss] -based Appalachian Oil is a major southeastern distributor of branded and unbranded petroleum products, including gasoline and home heating fuels. It also serves wholesale customers in the states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
