Dresser Wayne Rolls Out High-Capacity Dispensers

Two-hose, single-sided model allows for two grades, types of fuel at one fueling point

AUSTIN, Texas -- To help speed fueling stops and increase return on investment for retailers, Dresser Wayne is introducing a new line of ultra high-capacity fuel dispensers in a variety of configurations, including a two-hose, single-sided model that enables retailers to offer two grades or types of fuel at one fueling point.

The Dresser Wayne Vista HS3 high-speed fuel dispensers deliver up to 60 gallons per minute (gpm) flow rate through the master and satellite hoses. With dual internal 40-gpm filters (80-gpm capacity) placed before the meter and [image-nocss] filtering the satellite feed, the Vista HS3 protects the meter from contaminants and eliminates the need for an additional filter at the satellite.

The dual internal filters help ensure fuel purity, a particular concern with the new high-pressure diesel engines, said Kent Robinson, director of marketing for Austin, Texas-based Dresser Wayne's Fleet Fueling Group. Providing retailers with the opportunity to conveniently offer two grades of diesel at a single fueling point will be a distinct advantage with the introduction of the new ultra low-sulfur diesel requirements this summer.

The Vista HS3 product line has several other features:

The dual internal filters are standard and are located over the containment pan. Dresser Wayne's iGEM electronics platform and Liquid Controls meter are field-proven, reliable components. The dispensers include an electronic calibration system that enables fuel stations to easily and accurately calibrate to any test container size using a simple process. Pulse-monitoring technology and a tamper-resistant pulser cover deter thieves.

Dresser Inc., Dallas, designs, manufactures and markets equipment and services sold primarily to customers in the flow control, measurement systems and compression and power systems segments of the energy industry. Dresser Wayne, headquartered offers self-service consoles and fuel-blending dispensers, in-pump card readers and cash acceptors, in-pump radio frequency identification (RFID) payments systems and dispenser-mounted touchscreen payment/communication systems. Also, it designs and markets software systems that enable its retail fueling customers to manage the convenience store aspects of their businesses more efficiently, including inventory control, pricebook management, labor management and site administration.
