Open Pantry in the Groove

Acquisition of four stores part of chain's corridor growth strategy

PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. -- Open Pantry Food Marts of Wisconsin Inc. said that it has acquired four BP convenience store sites from TriVision LLC. According to the company, these acquisitions are strategically located sites in the Milwaukee area and the corridor between Milwaukee and Madison, exactly fitting into Open Pantry's growth strategy.

Robert A. Buhler, president of Open Pantry Food Marts, said, TriVision has transitioned to us their very best sites, each with a large gas presence and a strong c-store platform. We look forward to re-imaging these [image-nocss] sites in an Open Pantry motif, and to Open Pantry's high merchandising standards.

Buhler added, By adding these TriVision sites, we are executing our strategy of strategic growth, acquiring the best performers, and adding them to the Open Pantry brand. This is exciting for everyone at Open Pantry, and allows us to further profile the Open Pantry brand and service for our important customer base.

Pleasant Prairie, Wis.-based Open Pantry Food Marts operates a chain of 32 convenience stores throughout the state of Wisconsin while servicing 11 dealers and 3 franchisees. Open Pantry sites sell more than 50 million gallons of CITGO, Mobil and BP fuel annually and have annual sales of more than $120 million, the company said.
