Owl Services has acquired Dark Horse Enterprises Inc., a Pasadena, Maryland-based fueling construction, services and compliance company. The move will help Owl Services, a service provider to the petroleum and clean energy markets, expand in the mid-Atlantic, the company said.

“As we expand our footprint via organic growth and acquisition to strengthen our position as the first truly national construction and service provider in everything fueling, it’s important we close our geographic gaps,” said Greg Ergenbright, CEO of OWL Services. “Dark Horse’s location in the heart of the mid-Atlantic and strong construction and fuel tank maintenance reputation made it a natural fit as part of our portfolio.”

Dark Horse, established in 2014, specializes in the construction and service of fuel systems, including above and below-ground storage tank installations.

“We are thrilled to join the Owl Services team because not only does the company have a strong track record of success, but its size and resources allow us to scale our operations and offer our employees a chance to be part of a growth-minded team,” said Justin Fortney, president, Dark Horse Enterprises. “What I am most excited about is tapping the world-class training of the Owl Academy to ensure our employees stay at the leading edge of the fueling industry and our customers continue to receive the best service in the industry.”

Owl Services, Troy, Michigan, is a sales, construction, program management, compliance and service provider to the retail fueling, industrial, commercial fleet and electric-vehicle charging companies across the U.S.
