Pilot Promotes CFO to SVP

Steenrod joined company following Marathon merger

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Mitchell D. Steenrod has been promoted to senior vice president and chief financial officer of Pilot Travel Centers LLC., Jimmy Haslam, Pilot's chief executive officer, said.

Mitch has been an integral part of the growth of Pilot since he joined us in 2001, Haslam said. He has earned this promotion and it positions him to help our company accomplish the many challenging goals we have set for our future.

Since 2004, Steenrod has been a vice president and the CFO of Pilot Travel Centers. He joined the firm in 2001 [image-nocss] when it was formed through a merger of Pilot Corp. and Findlay, Ohio-based Marathon Ashland Petroleum. Before that, he had a 13-year career with Marathon Oil Corp., which he joined as a staff accountant in 1988.

Knoxville, Tenn.-based Pilot Travel Centers is the largest operator of travel centers in the United States. It operates 283 travel centers in 40 states and 39 convenience stores in Tennessee. Companywide, Pilot employs almost 13,000 people; the company's revenues reached $11 billion in 2006.
