Love's Extends Agreement With McLane

Retailer adds five years to existing deal

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores Inc., a family-owned company that operates more than 130 travel stops and 65 convenience stores across 31 states, has extended its service agreement with McLane Co. Inc. for an additional five years.

McLane has supported our growth and contributed to our business success with their excellent service, great merchandising information and value priced products, particularly those items that are in high demand for our over the road customers, said Tom Edwards, executive vice president of operations [image-nocss] for Oklahoma City-based Love's. Extending the service agreement with McLane will help us continue to be successful in meeting the needs of our customers and expanding our business.

McLane's goal is to continue to support Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores in achieving their business objectives. We are committed to providing Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores the highest quality in service and products, said Ron Clark, president of McLane's Southwest and High Plains Divisions.

Each Love's location provides fuel along with a c-store, quick-service restaurant (QSR) and services for the professional driver, RV owner and the motoring public.

Temple, Texas-based McLane provides distribution services throughout the United States, delivering food and nonfood products to more than 50,000 customer locations, including to the c-store, drug store, mass merchandise, QSR and movie theater industries. It operates 19 grocery distribution divisions and 18 foodservice distribution centers as well as an industry-specific software company. McLane is a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Inc., Omaha.
