S. Abraham & Sons to Host 33rd Annual Trade Show

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- S. Abraham & Sons Inc. (SAS) will host its 33rd annual Vendor Exhibit & Trade Show on Feb. 21 and 22 at DeVos Place Convention Center in Grand Rapids, Mich. The exhibit opens at 9 a.m. for multistore convenience-store owners and at noon for all retailers. It continues the following day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The show’s new 80s-themed floor plan, dubbed Fast Times at SAS Grand Ole C-Store, will contain 267 exhibitors highlighting more than 250 new items from 33 manufacturers in snacks, confection, health and beauty care (HBC), general merchandise, foodservice, automotive, tobacco and OTP categories. The event will also have an exhibit called “Retailers Resource Row,” which features behind-the-scenes ideas in merchandising, information technology and marketing.

Some branded offerings on the “blast from the past” show floor will include BluTaco Tex-Mex from Pro Food Systems, Pure dispensed juices and Jolly Rancher Hotties frozen drinks from Sunny Sky products. Attendees will be able to sample new items from produce manufacturer Fruit Ridge Farms and coffee manufacturer Beantown Coffee. New breakfast merchandising concepts from Hussmann Equipment and MerryChef convection microwave cooking equipment will also be featured, the company said.

The exhibit hall will be filled with arcade games. Following the day on the show floor, SAS will host a reception featuring music, food and games.

Grand Rapids-based S. Abraham & Sons is a convenience-store supplier serving retailers in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
