ROCKLAND, Mass. -- Tedeschi Food Shops Inc. said that Garber Bros., Stoughton, Mass., will become the sole distributor and exclusive supplier of grocery product to all Tedeschi Food Shops, Li'l Peach and Store 24 locations.
Under the agreement all 200 locations in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut and Rhode Island, as well as any new locations opened under the Tedeschi Food Shops banner in these and other states, will be exclusively supplied by Garber Bros.
It was a long and extensive process, and frankly, it was not an [image-nocss] easy decision, said Tom Hart, vice president of sales of Tedeschi Food Shops, but it was a decision that had to be made in order to drive efficiencies in our organization. We felt that the synergy, focus and enthusiasm that Garber Bros. provided our selection committee would help us realize our combined business goals.
Rockland, Mass.-based Tedeschi Food Shops currently operates 200 convenience food stores throughout New England, including those under the Li'l Peach and Store 24 names.
