Will raise funds to support Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center

CINCINNATI -- Speedway LLC is helping the community and the future of child health through ongoing fundraising in support of Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.

Cincinnati-area Speedway locations are Children's Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH) partners, and over the next three years Cincinnati Children's will use the funds raised to support the Complex Care Center at Cincinnati Children's.

The center provides 24/7 inpatient and outpatient management of children and teens with medically complex chronic disease. Most have conditions that affect multiple body systems and are often dependent on medical technology for survival.

"These funds will help open up opportunities for our doctors to do things for families we would not otherwise be able to do," said David Hall, MD, director of the center. "We are committed to helping the kids and families we care for and we are so honored that Speedway is partnering with us and validating this important work through this investment."

The funds will be used to help outfit the center's new location with tools to help better care for kids with complex needs. The donation will also allow the center to serve more families, especially as the need for complex care increases in our community.

Children's Miracle Network Hospitals raises funds for 170 children's hospitals across the United States and Canada, which, in turn, use the money where it's needed the most.

Speedway, based in Enon, Ohio, operates approximately 1,470 convenience stores in nine states in the Midwest. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Marathon Petroleum Corp. (MPC), Findlay, Ohio.
