7-Eleven to Hold Franchise Event

Retailer looking for converts

MELVILLE, N.Y. -- 7-Eleven Inc. will hold a business-conversion open house to discuss franchise opportunities in the Greater New York area. Owners of existing independent convenience stores or delicatessens in New York and New Jersey are invited to attend this free seminar to learn how to convert and operate their own business as a 7-Eleven store.

The program will be held on Wednesday, October 26, at 10:00 a.m. at 7-Eleven's Long Island office in Melville, N.Y.

This new franchising model offers existing, independent convenience-type [image-nocss] stores an opportunity to convert to the 7-Eleven brand, said Charlotte Pamphile, a 7-Eleven franchise sales manager based on Long Island. Advanced distribution, leading-edge technology and a well-recognized brand are some of the key attributes of 7-Eleven's established franchise system.

She added, We are seeking convenience store owners or operators of small delicatessens who want to grow their business. We'll discuss how store operators who convert their businesses to a 7-Eleven store can enjoy our proprietary retail business system while getting all the support services of our traditional franchise system. We look forward to meeting energetic business owners who share our passion for retailing and have a desire to serve customers.

Independent store operators in the New York metropolitan area (excluding Manhattan) or Northern New Jersey interested in attending may RSVP by calling (631) 421-7829.
