DALLAS -- In an acquisition that expands the company's growing footprint and relationships in the Centennial State, Empire Petroleum Partners LLC has acquired 13 former Corner Store locations in Colorado from CST Brands Inc.
The purchase of these 13 locations is in addition to the 28 former CST locations that Empire Petroleum acquired in Texas in fourth-quarter 2014.
As reported in a 21st Century Smoke/CSP Daily News Flash, the 41 total Corner Stores in Colorado and Texas that Empire Petroleum has acquired are part of a larger sale conducted by NRC Realty & Capital Advisors LLC, Chicago, that consisted of operating and former CST Brands convenience stores with gasoline located throughout Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico, Texas, Utah and Wyoming.
"Empire is excited to begin doing business in the great State of Colorado." said Michael O'Brien, Empire Petroleum's vice president of mergers and acquisitions. "Colorado presents an opportunity for Empire to expand its footprint further into the western United States. The acquisition further solidifies our relationship with Valero; a relationship we hope to continue to build in the Rocky Mountain region and elsewhere."
CST Brands is one of the largest independent retailers of motor fuels and convenience merchandise in North America. Based in San Antonio, it has approximately 2,000 locations throughout the United States and eastern Canada.
