"I'm excited to debut these two new jerky flavors at 7-Eleven," said Harley Morenstein, co-founder of "Epic Meal Time." "Bacon in a Bag lets you enjoy thick, juicy pieces of bacon, glazed in a sweet Sriracha sauce, anytime, anywhere, while Taco in a Bag gives our fans the convenience and savory flavors of carne asada while on the go."
Uncured Bacon Jerky in a Bag comes in a Sweet Sriracha Style flavor. The jerky has a sweet and spicy profile with medium heat. It is mixed with sweet Sriracha, tamari soy sauce, honey and ginger and contains 16 grams of protein per serving.
Taco Beef Jerky in a Bag comes in a Carne Asada Style flavor. Unlike its counterpart, this low-heat jerky contains 20 grams of protein per serving. It is tossed in fresh cilantro and brown sugar, orange juice and lime juice for extra zest.
"When it comes to new items to introduce, our product development team is always looking for ideas that are out of the box—or in this case, in the bag," said Fareed Siddiqui, senior product director for 7-Eleven. "That's exactly what Harley has done, re-creating two of America's favorite foods in jerky form, and I think customers are going to love them."
Other products from Beverly Hills, Calif.-based Super Snack Time include Biscuits in a Box, Mac & Cheese in a Box and Pizza in a Bag.
