WATERLOO, Wis. – 7-Eleven has partnered with pickle manufacturer Van Holten’s to offer the brand’s flagship product, Pickle-in-a-Pouch, for National Pickle Day. The convenience-store chain will sell Van Holten’s bagged pickle item in its Pickle Rick variety—a nod to the animated TV series "Rick and Morty"—in 2,800 stores nationwide, for a limited time starting Nov. 19.

National Pickle Day was Nov. 14.

“It’s the perfect way to celebrate National Pickle Day,” said Eric Girard, vice president of sales and marketing for Van Holten’s. “Pickles are hot right now. Combine that with the world’s largest convenience retailer and the popularity of Pickle Rick and this product will be flying off the shelves.”

Van Holten’s launched Pickle Rick in May 2018 through a collaboration with specialty retailer For Your Entertainment (FYE) and television network Adult Swim.

“At 7-Eleven, we offer customers a wide assortment of products, giving them what they want, where they want it,” said Steven Zimdars, senior category manager for 7-Eleven. “Our goal is to constantly surprise and delight customers. They enjoy our unique product selection and Pickle Rick will be a great limited-time addition.”
