KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Hostess Brands has added iced danishes to its lineup of baked goods.
The treats are available in convenience stores and grocery stores nationwide in three flavors: Iced Berries & Cream Cheese, Cream Cheese and Apple Cinnamon.
The Danishes are packaged in a single-serve format and feature a flaky puff pastry with fillings of cream cheese and fruit, or a combination of both. Each has icing drizzled on top.
“With the addition of Iced Danish, we are responding to a consumer preference and enhancing a classic item in our breakfast portfolio,” said Chad Lusk, senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Hostess Brands. “Because their passion for icing is clear, we believe our consumers will react to this insights-based innovation with enthusiasm.”
Hostess has also released several limited-time treats this fall, including Iced Pumpkin CupCakes, Pumpkin Spice Twinkies and Caramel Crunch Donettes.
