CHICAGO —Kraft Heinz has debuted Oscar Mayer Natural Meat and Cheese Snack Sticks in the convenience-store channel. These are the first Oscar Mayer Natural-branded products that combine meat and cheese in a single package, the company said.

Oscar Mayer Natural Meat and Cheese Sticks come in two flavors: Cracked Black Pepper Uncured Hard Salami With White Cheddar Cheese and Uncured Hard Salami With Monterey Jack Cheese, both of which are free of artificial ingredients and added nitrates. These products will be sold in Kraft Heinz’ refrigerated set, which also includes P3, Cracker Barrel snacking cheese, Lunchables, and Oscar Mayer Natural Plates.

These new meat and cheese snacks may appeal to a variety of demographics, including women, millennials, Hispanics and health-conscious consumers, Kraft Heinz said.

“The robust category growth of natural snacking and meal combos underscores the incredible opportunity we have to extend the Oscar Mayer Naturals brand into convenience stores with our Meat and Cheese Snack Sticks,” said Allie Phillips, head of drug and convenience-store sales for Kraft Heinz. “We’re excited to work together with our partners to introduce these delicious, healthy snacks to consumers across the country.”

Chicago-based Kraft Heinz is a leading food and beverage company. Besides Oscar Mayer Natural, its brands include ABC, Capri Sun, Classico, Jell-O, Kool-Aid, Maxwell House, Ore-Ida, Philadelphia, Planters, Plasmon, Quero, Smart Ones and Velveeta. The company had more than $26 billion in sales in 2017.
