Kwik Chek Adds Private-Label Salsa

BONHAM, Texas — Kwik Chek is introducing its own salsa in its convenience stores.  

Two Hot Mamas Salsa comes in Salsa Roja, Salsa Verde and Mambo Combo. It will be sold in all 46 stores across Texas and Oklahomaand be merchandised in the chips and salsa aisle, according to Anna Felz, Bonham, Texas-based Kwik Chek Food Stores’ brand manager.

The award-winning salsa is produced in Texas and is non-GMO and made with no preservatives, Felz said.

“We are very excited to offer additional locally sourced products for our customers,” Felz said.

Salsa Roja is inspired by Austin, Texas, flavors and is made with fresh ingredients such as whole tomatoes, a mix of jalapeno peppers, garlic, flame-roasted onions, fresh lime juice, cilantro and more.

Salsa Verde is an authentic Spanish-flavored salsa verde base with whole tomatillos. The Mambo Combo is a blend of Salsa Roja and Salsa Verde.

The salsas are also available in Sprouts, Whole Foods Market, Wheatsville, Royal Blue Grocery, Nature’s Grocer and Specs locations in addition to Kwik Chek stores.
