HOUSTON — Circle K is testing delivery of snacks, beer and other items in Houston, the convenience-store retailer announced on its website. The chain has partnered with Favor, an Austin, Texas-based delivery service that operates in more than 100 cities in Texas.

Customers download the Favor app—or go to favordelivery.com—and automatically receive unlimited free deliveries for the first 30 days. After that, customers must pay a $3 delivery fee for each purchase. Once Houston customers place an order, their items will arrive in an hour or less.

“We are excited to partner with Favor and to see our Circle K stores in the metro Houston area venture into home delivery,” Paul Rodriguez, vice president of Circle K Texas, told news channel KPRC.

Customers ordering beer must search for “Circle K 21+” in the Favor app or website. Beer delivery is available from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday and 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday.

Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc., Laval, Quebec, has more than 8,300 c-stores in 48 U.S. states, mostly under the Circle K brand. The chain offers a variety of branded, proprietary and private-label items, as well as a recently revamped coffee program. The chain is No. 2 in CSP’s 2019 Top 202 ranking of c-store chains by number of retail sites.
