Dwell Time is Sell Time

SeeSaw extends network with captive audiences at gas stations

SAN FRANCISCO -- SeeSaw Networks, an out-of-home digital media company, has added PetroTV and emebaVet to its extensive network of out-of-home digital media venues. Both signage networks deliver captive audiences as they wait at the gasoline pump with PetroTV or in a veterinary office with emebaVet, the company said.

The average convenience store customer waits at the pump for three to six minutes, according to SeeSaw, and PetroTV delivers a four-minute loop that is optimized for this customer dwell time. Typically, people stare at the dollar count while [image-nocss] they are refueling their cars. With our convenience store locations, digital screens give advertisers the opportunity to deliver a brand message to people when they are particularly receptive, said Ethan Cheramie, CEO at PetroTV.

Educational and entertainment content married with relevant advertising on out-of-home digital screens is an effective way to reach and more effectively engage audiences that tune out traditional and online advertising, it said. With the rapid adoption of digital video recorders and online ad-blocking services, advertisers have a harder time reaching their audiences. In contrast, research by OTX indicates that people find out-of-home digital media more entertaining and interesting than other media and would like to see more of it in the future, SeeSaw added.

San Francisco-based SeeSaw claims more than 10,000 venues nationally. Through its network of affiliates, SeeSaw currently delivers more than 22 million weekly gross impressionist said. SeeSaw also operates SeeSawAds.com, a media service that enables agencies to plan, buy and measure digital signage. Agencies customize campaigns across different venues, markets and demographics.

PetroTV is an outdoor digital media company operating a digital advertising network at c-stores throughout the southern United States. Through its local and national partners, the company shows news, weather, entertainment, advertisements and community information to captive, on-the-go consumers via daylight readable LCD screens mounted on top of gasoline pumps.
