HOUSTON — P97 is enabling mobile payment across Canada with Bulloch Technologies, one of the country’s largest point-of-sale (POS) and payment networks.

P97’s cloud-based program enables mobile transactions for a variety of mobile wallets and card schemes, allowing retailers of all sizes to offer their customers mobile payment capabilities without having to install new hardware. Embracing Conexxus technologies standards together enables P97 and Bulloch to enable indoor and outdoor mobile payments at gas stations and convenience stores around the U.S. and Canada.

“This agreement with Bulloch allows us to extend the convenience of mobile payments to additional markets across the globe,” said Don Frieden, founder and CEO of P97 Networks. “We’re excited to add Bulloch as an important partner in our ecosystem.”

Bulloch Technologies, founded in 1986 and based in Mississauga, Ontario, specializes in integrated POS, payment, loyalty and back-office products. Bulloch is installed in approximately 60% of combined c-store and gas stations in Canada and processes more than 500 million transactions annually. More than a decade ago, the company was the first to deliver EMV, and more recently EMV Contactless at the pump in North America. It is an industry contributor to Conexxus, NACS, IFSF and ACT Canada.

“Our partnership with P97’s mobile commerce ecosystem encourages customer loyalty, speed and convenience in an increasingly competitive industry,” said Dave de la Plante, strategy and program director for Bulloch. “Using P97’s mobile commerce, we’re able to create a platform that can be easily adopted by retailers to implement the complete customer experience and assure the Canadian petroleum and c-store industry continues to lead in innovation and the digital transformation."

P97 Networks, based in Houston, creates mobile commerce solutions for the retail fueling industry with its cloud-based mobile platform and contextual commerce engine.
