BIC, a leading manufacturer of stationery, lighters and shavers, now has its first-ever reloadable lighter with its BIC EZ LOAD Multi-Purpose Lighter, the Shelton, Connecticut-based company said.

The lighter, which provides 15,000 lights and can reload up to 10 times with BIC Maxi Pocket Lighters, is designed for consumers who want to extend the longevity of their lighter.

"At BIC, our consumer-centric approach keeps us focused on evolving consumer demands," said Gonzalve Bich, CEO of BIC. "Our research showed consumers had a strong desire for an extended lifespan from their lighter, an insight that drove the development of the BIC EZ LOAD Multi-Purpose Lighter."

With a longer lifespan, the BIC EZ LOAD starter kits are now available in the United States and Canada. In the United States, the product is available on BIC.com, Amazon, Family Dollar and at Walmart for a suggested retail price of $6.46 with additional retailer roll outs to come throughout 2024.

To promote the new product, BIC has teamed up with Grill Master and social media sensation Jack Mancuso for an “100 Days of Summer” campaign.  Launched just ahead of the kickoff to grilling season, Memorial Day weekend, the campaign consists of exclusive BBQ recipes from Mancuso to help consumers extend summer lighting occasions.
