QSRs have the upper hand over c-stores in terms of craveability, with 41.5% of respondents reporting that the need to satisfy a craving drove them to visit a QSR chain. Compare that to 30.3% for the 27 c-stores tracked by Technomic.

Sweet indulgences largely drive cravings for QSR consumers. At 69.4%, Cinnabon had the highest percentage of consumers visiting to satisfy a craving, followed by Cold Stone Creamery at 69.1%, Carvel at 66% and Baskin-Robbins at 65.9%. White Castle is the first nontreat chain to break the pattern at 61.1%.
