Deadworld soda brand secures distribution in Southwest through Redstone Foods

LIVONIA, Mich. -- Caprice Brands LLC, the maker for Deadworld Zombie Soda, has announced that it has secured distribution of its premium, all natural flavored, glass bottled soda line with Redstone Foods.

Redstone Foods, Carrollton, Texas, is one of the largest wholesalers in the southwest United States of sodas, novelty candies and fine chocolates.

"We are very excited about the Deadworld sodas. They tap into the strong and growing trend of natural, glass-bottle sodas made with pure cane sugar and interesting artwork and flavor combinations on the labels. We see this as a growing trend and one that will be around for a long time," said Josh Rothstein, vice president of Redstone Foods.

Deadworld Zombie Sodas are available in 12 flavors and feature labels drawn by 41 comic-book artists who have provided their own creative spin with depictions of zombies and characters based on the Deadworld comic-book series. With the popularity of zombie and horror television shows like The Walking Dead and movies like Night of the Living Dead and conventions like Comic Con, Deadworld Zombie Sodas target the 14-to-40-year-old core consumer and follower of such multimedia programming and events.

The 12 flavors include:

  • Orange: Orange Roamer
  • Cherry Cola: Goon Biters
  • Black Cherry: Royal Rotter
  • Cream Soda: Brain Sap
  • Cotton Candy: Zeek Cocktail
  • Vanilla Cream Soda: Geek Juice
  • Grape: Grisly Swill
  • Vanilla Root Beer: Slow Decay
  • Strawberry: Rot Berry
  • Root Beer: Twilight Shuffler
  • Green Apple: Morbid Mix
  • Ginger Ale: Graveyard Delight

Deadworld Zombie Soda is a premium, all-natural flavored, glass-bottled soda line conceived, marketed and sold by Caprice Brands, Livonia, Mich. The premium bottled drinks are manufactured by Intrastate Distributors, Detroit, one of Michigan's largest beverage bottlers with brands such as Frostie Root Beer and Towne Club.

Deadworld is a comic book-based series first started in 1986, now with more than 100 issues and graphic novels with more than one million copies in print.
