Fuze Debuts in Canadian Market

Distributed in four provinces so far

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. -- Fuze, a beverage introduced in the United States in 2001, is now available in Canada.

Fuze is currently being distributed in Canada by distributors in four Canadian provinces, with more added every day, said Lance Collins, founder and president of Englewood Cliffs, N.J.-based Fuze Beverage LLC.

Distributors include Choice Beverages (Edmonton, Alb.), Richardson Food Group (Nanaimo, B.C.), Cott Beverages (Lachine, Quebec), Lachine Distributing (Chatham, Ont.), Courtney's Wholesale Ltd (London, Ont.), The [image-nocss] Great Canadian Drink Co (Ottawa) and Allmart Distributing (Toronto).

Collins said the initial rollout includes Strawberry Melon and Tropical Punch from the Slenderize line and Banana Colada, Peach Mango and Strawberry Guava from the Refresh line, as well as Green Tea.

Slenderize is a proprietary weight-loss formula that is designed to appeal to both those trying to lose weight as well as diabetics, the company said. Each 18-oz. bottle contains 5% juice, five to 10 calories per serving and is enhanced with Vitamin C, Super Citrimax and Chromium. Suggested retail price is $1.99 (Canadian).

Refresh is a line of fruity flavors. Each 18-oz. bottle is enhanced with seven essential vitamins (A, C, E, B3, B5, B6, B12) plus calcium and 5% juice. Suggested retail price is $1.99 (Canadian).

Green Tea contains antioxidants. Each 18-oz. bottle contains folic acid, polyphenols (the natural antioxidant) plus Vitamins C, E, B3, B5, B6 and B12. Green tea contains equal antioxidant capacity as three servings of vegetables per bottle measured by Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity, a USDA-developed method. Suggested retail price is $1.9 (Canadian).

Collins said each label lays down the quantities and the benefits of each vitamin, antioxidant and mineral infuzed in each bottle and that Fuze never uses high-fructose corn syrup in its products. Fuze educates the consumer on the benefits of what they are drinking in order to ensure a healthy lifestyle, he added.

Fuze can be found in Canada at major outlets such as Macs Milk, Chevron and 7-Eleven, among other convenience store and supermarkets.
