Hiland Dairy Releases 2019 Holiday Milk Flavors

Pumpkin Spice Egg Nog, Sugar Cookie among drinks being offered for a limited time

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. —Hiland Dairy Foods Co. has come out with its latest lineup of holiday milk flavors and drinks.

Hiland Dairy’s Custard will be back for a second year, and Pumpkin Spice Egg Nog will be introduced to the holiday line. The drinks are produced in small batches and available for a limited time. Other varieties include Egg Nog, Chocolate Mint, Sugar Cookie and Maple Pecan.

The Custard is made from Hiland milk, eggs and sugar, which are combined and slowly heated until thickened before being chilled and packaged.

“Custard is different from Egg Nog because the latter is made with rich Hiland Dairy cream, eggs and nutmeg,” said Rick Beaman, vice president of Hiland Dairy. “We’re often told that our custard tastes like melted ice cream.”

The suggested retail price for the drinks is $2.79.

Springfield, Mo.-based Hiland Dairy is a farmer-owned dairy foods company that makes products such as ice cream, milk, butter, cheese and eggnog. The company also makes nondairy beverages, including Red Diamond Tea, lemonade and fresh juices.
