Perrier Debuts Perrier & Juice in C-Stores

New drinks combine sparkling water and real fruit juice

TORONTO -- Nestle Waters' Perrier, the French natural spring water brand, is launching Perrier & Juice.

The new bubbly beverage made with real fruit juice will be available in Canada beginning June 21 in gas stations and convenience stores and on grocery retail shelves Sept. 4.

The suggested retail price is $1.69 for 330-mL cans in c-stores and $5.99 for six-packs coming in the fall.

Perrier & Juice combines the refreshment of Perrier natural spring water with the full taste of fruit, in a guilt-free treat, the company said.

"Perrier & Juice is the result of three years of research and development," said Tracey Peake, marketing director for Nestle Waters Canada, Toronto. "The inspiration for the line was, in part, the understanding that consumers want healthy beverage options that still allow them to enjoy a full flavor experience."

Perrier & Juice is available in three flavors: Strawberry & Kiwi, Peach & Cherry and Pineapple & Mango. Each flavor combination is 79% Perrier carbonated water, 17% fruit juice from concentrate, 3.5% natural sugar syrup and 0.5% natural flavor.
