YORK, Pa. — Convenience-store chain Rutter’s is launching its own Chocolate Milk Stout in November.
The release marks Rutter’s first private branded beer product, which was made in collaboration with Lancaster Brewing Co., Lancaster, Pa.
“Lancaster Brewing Co. is a first-class organization that has a lot of ambition and very talented brewers, which is why we looked to partner with them on this product,” said Sean Pfeiff, Rutter’s senior category manager.
- Rutter’s is No. 87 in CSP’s 2021 Top 202 ranking of c-store chains by size.
Rutter’s Chocolate Milk Stout has 6.8% ABV and will remind customers of the company’s chocolate milk, with notes of cocoa and the sweetness of milk. Sales will start in early November at Rutter’s 45 beer locations in Pennsylvania and be available while supplies last. The stout will come in a four-pack of 12-ounce cans and will retail for $9.99.
Rutter’s, York, Pa., operates 79 locations in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Maryland.
