Goetze's Gets Two

Brody rejoins, Gates joins candy maker

BALTIMORE -- Goetze's Candy Co. Inc. has added two new managers.

Meghan Brody rejoined Goetze's Candy as brand strategy manager in April. Brody has spent the last more than 15 years working with the company and its Caramel Creams and Cow Tales brands in various positions with The Miller Group, Goetze's Candy and most recently HPL/Miller Advertising.

"She brings not only a wealth of knowledge of our company and brands, but a wealth of experience with consumer engagement," John Leipold Jr., Goetze's director of sales and marketing said.

Raymond Gates joined Goetze's Candy in March as regional sales manager. Gates brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from both the manufacture and retail side of the business. He joins the company from Nestle, with prior experience with Nabisco, ConAgra and Food Lion. He will oversee the company's Southeast, Southwest and West areas.

Baltimore-based Goetze's is a fifth-generation, family-owned business that specializes in the combination of caramel and cream sweet treats. The company's current product line consists of two classic national brands, Caramel Creams and Cow Tales.
