Convenience Claims Spots on NRF’s 2023 Top 100 Retailers

7-Eleven took the No. 19 spot on the National Retail Federation’s Top 100 Retailers 2023, the highest-ranking convenience-store company on the annual list.

The list is compiled by London-based Kantar, a global marketing data, insight and consultancy company. It ranks the companies by 2022 U.S. retail sales. Irving, Texas-based 7-Eleven had sales of $30.15 billion.

Among all retailers, Walmart, Bentonville, Arkansas, took the No. 1 spot, with $499.65 billion in sales, and Amazon, Seattle, took the No. 2 spot, with $232.46 billion in sales. Click here to view the full NRF Top 100 2023.

Other c-store and gas station companies joining Irving, Texas-based 7-Eleven on the list included:

  • Hy-Vee, Des Moines, Iowa, $12.44 billion (No. 37)
  • Alimentation Couche-Tard, Laval, Quebec, $11.10 billion (No. 42)
  • Giant Eagle, Pittsburgh, $10.65 billion (No. 44)
  • Army and Air Force Exchange Service, Dallas, $7.88 billion (No. 54)
  • Casey’s General Stores, Ankeny, Iowa, $4.78 billion (No. 88)
  • Exxon Mobil Corp, Irving, Texas, $4.65 billion (No. 90)
  • Shell Oil Co., Houston, $4.17 billion (No. 98)
