NEW ORLEANS -- Some of them lost power; others lost their entire businesses. In the nine months since Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast, retailers have continued to pick up the pieces of their stores and their lives as they wait for normalcy to return to the region.
With a new hurricane season upon the coast, CSP visited and talked with more than a dozen of these retailers to find out how they're coping. Some are seeing unprecedented sales as work crews migrate to the area to help with the cleanup. Others are still waiting for the insurance [image-nocss] checks that will allow them to rebuild.
