Loss Prevention Meeting Tackles Workplace Violence

Marijuana in the workplace, AI and other topics on agenda at annual LPN conference

CHANDLER, Ariz. — Workplace violence, social-media issues and marijuana will be some of the discussion topics at the 17th annual Loss Prevention and Safety Networking Meeting, to be held Feb. 19-21, 2020, at the Hilton Garden Inn Universal in Orlando, Fla.

The event is hosted by Loss Prevention Network, Chandler, Ariz., a share group for c-store professionals in loss prevention, safety, security and risk management.

Discussion highlights will include:

  • Workplace violence.
  • Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED).
  • Addressing online issues such as phishing and social media.
  • Leveraging artificial-intelligence technology to reduce safety incidents and crime.
  • Political environment of marijuana in the workplace.

Other features of the annual conference include networking opportunities, c-store loss prevention and safety benchmarking and open discussions on topics suggested by LPN members.
