Mark VII Names New President & CEO

Kennedy succeeds new WashTec CFO Burnert

ARVADA, Colo. -- Mark VII Equipment Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of WashTec AG of Germany, a major worldwide supplier of vehicle cleaning systems, has hired Murray Kennedy as its president and CEO. He replaces Christian Bernert, who will become CFO of WashTec AG effective Jan. 1, 2007.

Kennedy joins Mark VII from Richardson Electronics Ltd., where during his 12-year tenure he held the position of executive vice president and general manager of the Electron Device Group and of the Industrial Power Group. His prior experience includes management positions [image-nocss] with Litton Electron Devices Group and ITT Electron Devices Division.

Christian has done a great job of managing the transition and integration process since WashTec acquired Mark VII earlier this year. With Murray's engineering background and depth of management experience in a manufacturing environment, he's the ideal choice for leading the company, said Thorsten Krueger, spokesperson of the board of WashTec AG.

Arvada, Colo.-based Mark VII is a wholly owned subsidiary of WashTec AG. The combined companies have an installed base of more than 30,000 units worldwide and sell a complete line of touchfree and friction rollover, self-serve and tunnel carwash systems, as well as ancillary products and services.
