Parker’s Kitchen held the grand opening for its first store in Aiken, South Carolina, on April 10. It opened for business on March 15. Located 30 minutes outside of Augusta, Georgia, the new store is part of the Savannah, Georgia-based company’s expansion plans.

  • Parker Co.’s is No. 94 on CSP’s 2023 Top 202 list of U.S. convenience stores by store count.

The convenience-store chain, which operates 84 retail stores in Georgia and South Carolina, said it plans to double the number of stores in the next four years.

“We currently operate stores across Georgia and South Carolina and are planning to expand south down to Jacksonville, Florida, north up to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and west to Augusta, Georgia, and Aiken, South Carolina,” Parker told CSP.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to open our first Parker’s Kitchen location in Aiken and are deeply committed to being a great neighbor in every community where we operate stores,” said Greg Parker, founder and CEO of Parker’s Kitchen. “We think Aiken is an incredibly exciting market and have already received a very positive response about our newest store on Jefferson Davis Highway.”

The new store features Parker’s “made-from-scratch” food for breakfast, lunch and dinner and other convenience items.

This week, the convenience-store chain’s sausage, egg and cheese biscuit advanced to the final round in Garden & Gun’s 2024 South’s Best Biscuit Competition, earning second place behind restaurant chain Tudor’s Biscuit World. With 32 entries divided into categories including gas stations, national chains, regional chains and local favorites, Parker’s Kitchen beat out Hardee’s, Spinx, Dodge’s and Golden Pantry in four earlier rounds of bracket-style competition.

At the ribbon cutting ceremony, Parker’s Kitchen made a $5,000 Fueling the Community Donation to Aiken County Public Schools.

The Parker’s Fueling the Community charitable initiative donates a percentage of gas sold at all Parker’s Kitchen locations on the first Wednesday of each month to area schools. The convenience-store chain said it has donated more than $2 million to area schools across South Carolina and Georgia since the program began in 2011.
